The underground of Cologne is center of an examination. On the one hand to find out more about historic fundaments, on the other hand to find indicators for modern, temporary life. So beneath historic remains there is a broad usage of the underground: networks for transportation (water, electricity,... and of course public transportation), spaces that do not have a physical but a textual connection: crypts or other religious and cult places, prisons, shelters and many more.

‘subcologne’ invites people to explore this whole world in their own individual way. First using the digital parallel world then entering the ‘real world’.
